When introducing your new family member to his or her room mate, you’ll need to put the chinchillas in seperate cages, next to each other.  This allows them to become aware of each others scent and presence.  When you are ready to move your new pet into his or her new home with the other chinchilla, add a drop of perfume to the new pet to mask his or her natural scent.  It will gradually fade away, allowing for slow, gradual introduction.

Chinchillas are active.  They like to jump, play and exercise.  Try to give them a home with several levels so they will have plenty of room.  Chinchilla care can be alot of fun, especially with more than one.
